December 30th

Hey Everyone, Hope all are doing well. I am glad that the baptism went well. We spent Thanksgiving in Eagar and enjoyed the nice weather. Uncle Joe was upta Eagar this weekend and it was good to spend some time with him. We have moved our wedding date to 12/30/2006 so that I can be back in time for school. We are going to be sealed at 1:15 and will have a reception in Gilbert that evening from 7:00 - 9:00. Work and school are going well, I will finish my schooling with UoP in 10 weeks and start my science core in January. I hope to be in dental school in 18 months. My family is doing well, My dad is busy with work, school and the family and my mom is enjoying Grandma Doris living next door. Celina is a Senior this year and is really busy. Hope all of you are doing good and I look forward to seeing all of you. Take care,

Saralyn's Baby Shower

Sorry we couldn't go to the shower. Jolene made a great effort to take everyone but the rest of us didn't cooperate very much. Anyway Linda, would love to hear all about it! It is fun to hear about what is going on since we can't all be at everything. Anyway, hope everyone is not tired of hearing from me. Looking forward to hearing from everyone when you get a chance.

Brian's Engagement

Kali's Baptism

I just wanted to thank everyone for helping to make Kali's baptism so special. I still can't believe how talented this family is. Jolene and Jeremy gave the most wonderful talks and they were funny too. (Also made me cry too). Shelly made Kali the cute box (painted and with her name) with stuff about the Holy Ghost for Jeremy's talk. Jolene made the cutest programs, played the piano, and helped me plan the baptism. Susan wasn' t able to come to the baptism because she went to Utah but she made the softest most wonerful blanket for Kali with her name on it and the baptism date. Grandma gave Kali a hymn book to go with her scriptures. I was very touched by how much everyone helped out. Everyone came over afterwards for mexican food. Lonny's salsa was awesome and we ran out! I am so glad we had enough food. Lonny looked really cute in his baptism clothing. The pants he wore looked like capris because they were too small. All and all I think it was a very special day! Oh and mom asked Bob Draper who he was. She had no idea. That was kinda funny. Anyway, thanks again for being such a wonderful family.

More Good News

Congradulations Nephew! Sheryl and I will be on a cruise the week of the 15th in January so don't get married then!
Also, letting everyone know I sold Mom's camp trailer today. I got $1,600 for it. Mom will net $1,000 because we had to put a new holding tank and a couple of tires to make it into something worthy of selling.

Engaged

Sorry, This is from Brian

Engaged

I am officially enaged. Things have been going really well with Melody and I and Saturday we went on a date that I had planned out. We went to the same resturaunt where we had our first date and then went to Camel Back Mountain where we had our second date. We started our hike about 5:15 and made it to the saddle right at sunset. I had planned ahead of time to have a lot of her family and my friends there who put roses all over the ground and had lots of candles and stuff like that. They also filmed us while I asked her. She said yes and then we all walked back down in the dark. I think we are shooting for January 6th. Hope you all have a good day ; )

Shower Fun!

oops - why do I always do that?

Alright Mesa Girls - Ashley, Jaree, Ling, Lisa, Shelly, Susan - Let's go! I will volunteer to drive - we can all fit in my suburban. We will stop and pick up Mom on the way. What do you say??
I think it would be great fun to have a girl's road trip. It will be a long day - but a fun one!

Let me know what you think!

Love you all,

Thinking Of You

Dear Family: it's nice to hear all that is going on with the kids. Kudos to all of them. It's a bummer to be geographically challenged in addition to all the busi-ness. It appears that our prayers and fast offerings are paying off again. I'm sure I mentioned Loren is home doing very well and will start chef school in January. It seems for the moment that Taylor has also hit the end of his road and is going to move home for a bit as well. Just as a matter of testimony, it is very important that children learn to have dreams and goals and to earn their way. No doubt parental help is necessary, even monetarily, but they need to earn it. We didn't do that early enough. More importantly, I want to share my testimony regarding family prayer, scriptures, and home evening. Because of my challenges with the kids I have done deep study of other families with similar problems even scriptural families. In the cases of kids eventually finding their way back there is a righteous father. There is family prayer on behalf of the wayward. And, there is a combined determination of the family to not negotiate true principles. In the cases where every child seems to be struggling there is the absense of or at least inconsistent fanily prayer, scripture studt, and fhe. And, I testify that it is never too late. In a very short time of doing those things, miracles begin to happen. In other news, I got Mom's camp trailer repaired and will set it up on the highway to be sold. Hoping to net mom about $1,000. Love you all.

Halloween Good Times!

Here are some pictures of the kids on Halloween. We had lots of fun! That is Morgan as a vampire, Devon as something - he just liked the mask - most people that he was a Blues Brother, Courtney as Tinkerbell and Nicole as a witch.

Happy Birthday Susan and Deidra!

Happy Birthday!! Susan and Deidra!!
